“What a peaceful stay on Lake Floras! We absolutely loved our short 1 night stay in Langois. Coffee on the deck looking out on the water was my favorite part. Thank you Christiane!”

“We had a wonderful time at the Lake. We spent 10 days there with our 2 teenage daughters, we were cozy and comfortable at the apartment and had a lot of fun!! Fishing, SUP, kayaking, kitesurfing, biking, running and admiring nature, filled us with energy and happiness. Not having a stove made cooking a bit limited, so we prepared easy, simple meals. Christiane and co-host Heather were wonderful hosts; they were communicative and proactive in assisting us with anything we needed. We even celebrated my husband’s birthday at Heather’s restaurant (TJ’s) in Port Orford, it was awesome and delicious!! Thank you both for your hospitality, we can’t wait to come back!”

“Christiane’s home is spectacular! The view is amazing, the thoughtful touches appreciated and the view from every room a wonderful surprise. Christiane’s instructions on different house operations are clear and the housekeeping staff was very responsive with my questions. Access to the non-windy side of the lake was great and the otter viewing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely return (and if we have a smaller group next time, the smaller apartment or guest house will also work great). Definitely recommend!”

**** Peaceful retreat
“The week we spent at the Langlois lake house was amazing. The natural beauty of the lake and Southern Oregon Coast is picture perfect. The recent updates to the house make the property even more spa-like. The house was very clean and furniture and beds comfortable. We spent almost every minute enjoying the deck and outdoor dining area. Having the dock made accessing the lake with our kayak so easy. With our stay a full week, we could have really used access to a washer and dryer. We plan on staying again.”

“Tiny little house but nice sized yard to sit out and listen to birds and see the lake. The large shared dock was great for the kids to watch from as they looked for little fish and newts!”

***** Vacation
“This was a wonderful getaway. So quiet and peaceful. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. So much to do in this area. Recommend it wholeheartedly.”

“I loved my stay at Floras Lake. The place is perfect for two couples and her house is right on the lake! BEAUTIFUL! We brought our seadoo and kept it on their dock. Christiane and her husband were so sweet, they even offered their waterskis for us to use. We will definitely be coming back next year. Highly recommend!”

“This wonderful home is great for family gatherings or just a getaway, We loved every moment. Waking up to a wonderful view on the Lake or the many options available in the surrounding area. We came in Early July and were extremely happy with the temperature of the water. Regardless of morning or afternoon swim it stayed relatively warm for us. Kayaking available, wind surfing on the opposite side of the Lake, as well as Kite surfing. Don’t worry if you’re too afraid to partake; it is still fun to watch. The host answered our phone call when we arrived almost immediately. The house was great as well. The home had a slight musty smell upon arrival but that went away after the first day. Either we became accustomed to it or it was gone after we opened the windows. Thank You!

“We loved staying at this holiday vacation apartment. The view of the lake through the living room picture window is amazing. We felt like we had the best view on this quiet lake – at least the part we were on. The other side of the lake (out of sight of this unit) is a popular kite boarding spot, which is just a short drive away and right next to an easy walk to the ocean beach. The space is clean and newly renovated. It’s a well thought-out unit with the basics, and some unexpected thoughtful touches like cozy bedding, bedside tables with lamps that dim, a huge closet and a settee in a large bedroom. Nicely kept grounds and the dock were added bonuses. The lake looked inviting. We wished the weather had been warm enough to swim. You may want to bring beach towels if you plan to swim. The stairs to the unit are a bit rustic so if you have trouble walking you may be challenged. Langlois is a sweet town with friendly people, a great coffee shop, well stocked small market and a breakfast place – the Spoon. We didn’t have any communication with the host, but didn’t feel we needed to. We used the unit as a jumping off location to explore the south coast and to just relax for an extended weekend get-a-way. We’d stay here again.

“Wonderful apartment getaway. Water was warm, and the space was beautiful. It did seem newer so there was a strange smell when we entered. We assumed it was paint. Regardless it had gone away while the windows were opened. Either that or we got used to it. The surrounding area is amazing. Great place to watch Kite surfing, or wind surfing on the opposite side of the Lake. Where we were it was calm and quiet. Great for families or a quiet weekend getaway. I would highly recommend.

“Christiane’s place was just as pictured and made the perfect setting for long weekend retreat for me and a few good friends. The house was sparkling clean and it sits upon a gorgeous large lake. Every bedroom, the living room and the room with the pool table all have great views of the lake. The kitchen has all of the required amenities. The outdoor spaces include a picturesque dock, a deck for relaxing in the sun, a partially enclosed (and super fabulous) dining table and a hot tub. What more can you ask for? My friends and I used all of these spaces to watch the wind whip across the lake and enjoy the ducks and geese that make this lake home. A bald eagle has made a nest right next door! The house is also just a short walk away from a section of beach, where the kite surfers ride where the lake meets the Pacific. We were all extremely happy and relaxed during our stay at Christiane’s and highly recommend it.

***** Oregon coast weekend vacation house rental
“This house and the location were exceptional! The view of the lake from most rooms in the house was absolutely beautiful. The house was very spacious and accommodated the 6 of us quite comfortably, especially with 3 full bathrooms. The walk to the beach was about 30 minutes and we enjoyed watching all the wind-surfers and kite-boarders on the part of the lake nearest the ocean! The pool table, kayaks and hot tub were a big hit with all of us. The property manager was very gracious and helpful.”

***** Amazing location, view and the most friendly host ever
“We spent the weekend with family over at the Langlois home and it was everything we hoped it would be! Great big house with plenty of space for all 11 of us, great kitchen, and of course – an amazing view right on the lake and almost a walking distance from the ocean. Wendy, the manager, is the most friendly and helpful property manager you can think of. We will definitely be back again!”

***** Amazing Lake House
“Wow, our vacation at this house was amazing. Tons of space, big rooms, good size kitchen, plenty of everything you might need. The property is exactly like in the pictures, and the property manager was incredibly attentive. We stayed 4 nights and all wished we’d booked a longer stay. Everything you need is there, the grounds are beautiful, the view breathtaking. We swam, fished, kayaked (plenty of life jackets are available), played games, played the piano, relaxed in a hot tub, grilled, lounged and sun bathed on the dock and the deck, saw a beaver swimming around a little island across the water, watched a bald eagle fly back to its nest, spotted various other birds, caught newts…woke up early in the morning to a most beautiful and serene view, gazed at the clear late night sky filled with, oh so many stars, it took our breath away. We can’t wait to be back!”

***** Lake house GORGEOUS!
“The house is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the lake. It was well stocked (with regard to kitchen/cooking equipment, pots/pans/utensils/etc. and games, blankets, towels, seating, etc.) and we completely enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for the adults (including grandparents) and children, even the toddler. The kayak/paddle board company on the lake (Floras Lake Rental) was AWESOME!!! Nearby Bandon was a nice little town to visit too. Langlois Market was small but had pretty much all we needed, grocery-wise. “

***** Wonderful Stay at This Secluded, Beautiful House
“A group of friends and I booked the Langlois lake house for the 4th of July weekend and had a great experience! Everything was as depicted in the photos, the welcome information was delivered promptly, and the manager Wendi was very friendly and fantastic to work with. The canoes included in the property were used every day as the lake is very fun to explore. There is also a place nearby where guests can rent paddleboards for additional fun on the water. The beach was an easy mile walk away and has beautiful views at sunset. But my favorite part of the house was the huge deck. The stars at night were incredible and many meals were enjoyed on the grill and outdoor table! I would absolutely recommend renting this location and would love to return in the future. “

***** Men’s get together
“Everything was great, welcomed with open arms. Great house, large, great floor layout, the pool table was very nice. Hot tub is a bit small for large groups but did great after the day of wake boarding. Kitchen large enough to support 10 grown men, nice place over all beds very comfortable and plenty of things to do. 9 out of 10 only cause the hot tube was a bit small but not that big of a deal. “

***** Amazing House and Lake
“The Floras Lake house was amazing house to spend a long weekend. Beautiful lake, perfect house, fun to swim in and then lounge in the hot tub or take the canoe out or fish from the dock. So many great options. Wendy was great, fast and really easy to communicate with. Definitely plan on returning and can not recommend the house enough. “

***** What a beautiful, hidden gem – loved the location and tranquility!
“I must say, this vacation rental has all we could ask for! The great Southern exposure, great private beach and plenty of local activities to choose from! The owners have fantastic teak furniture throughout the property and stargazing at night in the loungers is a must-do! We enjoyed the warmth of the Southern decks and in order to cool off – the jump into the refreshing lake was the best! We loved all the local hikes and the rich beauty of this very special area. We will definitely be back next year! “

***** Beautiful exclusive location on the lake
“We absolutely loved this place. Huge property, view into the wilderness, peaceful, just like paradise. Manythings to do such as hiking, kayaks, fishing, biking, surfing. (The lake is the best kept secret on the Oregon coast) The house has many porches to enjoy the sun out of the wind. A large gas grill to enjoy outdoor cooking. Even speakers outside to enjoy the cocktails. The caretakers are so nice. Took great care of us. We will definitely come again. “

***** Perfect Family retreat
“This house is perfect for anyone who loves the coast but likes to stay out of the wind. This section of the lake is out of the wind, at the same time close to the ocean. There is so much to do: wind surfing, Kite surfing, fishing, kayaks, Jet ski and of course swimming right off the dock. A huge kitchen to help prepare burgers and steaks, and best of all a great outdoor area. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience. “
Hans (stayed July 2015)
“Being able to reconnect with distant friends in such a beautiful and tranquil place was an irreplaceable experience. The house was gorgeous and there was more than enough room for 12 people. Accommodations were cozy and very clean, kitchen is well stocked with spices and cookware, and the gorgeous property is very well maintained. Definitely making this an annual trip.”

“We loved our stay at this property. The house was beautiful and homey with great views of the lake from most rooms. We enjoyed swimming and paddling in the lake, fishing off our private dock, sitting on the lovely deck, playing pool, and also seeing the sights around Langlois and Bandon. There was plenty of room for four adults and two pre-teens to spread out (the two TVs and downstairs family room were ideal!) The house is spacious, comfy, and relaxed. Lake was chilly and breezy some days but we also got a few warmer days too. We can’t wait to come back!”

“My family and I had the BEST time staying at Floras Lake Vacation House! It was perfect and just what the doctor ordered! :o) We did so many wonderful things and there was something for everyone, which I loved! Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, walked on the beach, watched the kite surfers, drove down a few miles and picked our own fruit and flower bouquets, hiked on the trails, shopped in Bandon, BBQ’d and hung out at the house, listened to music and relaxed, we even had a nightly pool tournament.. We did so many different things, but in little doses only because we didn’t want to miss anything :o)
We are making it an annual family get-a-way and we can’t wait for next year.
Wendy was so very sweet and she and her family were very hospitable. She was thoughtful and kind and on Friday she had the house in tip top shape with a welcome bottle of wine ( btw thank you :o) and beer glasses in the freezer so they were chilled and all ready to go!

“Location is even more beautiful than pictured, my husband and I had a great time hiking in the woods, walking nearby beaches and taking the motor boat across the lake. We greatly appreciated the (hiking) suggestions and help from the owner’s brother, who lives nearby.
The house is well maintained and generously appointed. Great weather (in the low 70s) allowed us to eat outside on the beautiful sheltered patio overlooking the lake.

“This is the perfect house for the perfect getaway. Beautiful house, the best view of Floras Lake, a pool table, a hot tub to relax, canoes and kayaks if you want to exercise, close to the beach, an hour drive to North Bend to ride the dunes… the list goes on. Once again this is the perfect destination for a relax time with family and friends.

“My wife seven year old son and I spent a wonderful week at this home in late August.
The house was extremely clean and well kept. Sue, the property manager (lives across the lake)was perfect. She helped us arrange a salmon fishing trip with one of the neighbors.
We had an amazing time with the kayaks and the motor boat. Fishing (and catching) trout from the dock, enjoying the sunset on the beach and listening to the gret collection of vinyl records filled our days and evenings.
The house is located close to The town of Bandon, a must see area. The crab shack there has the best crab cakes and fresh oysters.
We would recommend this property highly.”

“This house is unique in that it was built by, and lived in, by a family from Germany. You get the feeling that the place was/is well loved and enjoyed by happy people. Some of the family members still live nearby. They were very kind and helpful to us during our stay. The influence from Germany shows up in the decor including paintings and antiques that lend the house such great character.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed. We appreciated the large functional kitchen and laundry room. Listening to the vast music collection was fun, and best of all, the view is amazing.”
